About the role

PLEASE NOTE WE DO NOT ACCEPT VISA SPONSORSHIP APPLICATIONS AT THIS TIME
As a Domiciliary Care Worker, you will support individuals to live safely, comfortably, and independently in their own homes. This role involves visiting clients in the community and assisting them with daily tasks that promote dignity, wellbeing, and independence.
You will build positive, trusting relationships with the people you support while ensuring their individual needs and preferences are always respected. The role requires compassion, reliability, and the ability to work independently while following care plans and company policies.
A typical day may include assisting with personal care, preparing meals, supporting with medication, helping with household tasks, and providing companionship. You may also support individuals to attend appointments, access their community, or maintain their daily routines.
This is a rewarding and varied role where no two days are the same, and you will have the opportunity to make a genuine difference in people’s lives.

Ideal candidate

We are looking for caring, reliable, and compassionate individuals who are passionate about supporting others. The ideal candidate will have a positive attitude, strong communication skills, and a genuine desire to make a difference in people’s lives. You should be able to work both independently and as part of a team, demonstrate patience and empathy, and be committed to delivering high-quality, person-centred care. Reliability and professionalism are essential, as you will be supporting individuals in their own homes and helping them maintain their independence and dignity. Previous experience in care is beneficial but not essential, as full training and ongoing support will be provided. What matters most is having the right values, a willingness to learn, and a commitment to providing compassionate support. A full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle is preferred, as the role involves travelling between clients in the community.

A typical day

As a Domiciliary Care Worker, your day will involve visiting individuals in their own homes to provide support tailored to their needs. No two days are the same, and you will be helping people maintain their independence and quality of life.
Your shift may begin by assisting someone with their morning routine, such as helping them get dressed, supporting with personal care, or preparing breakfast. Later visits might involve helping someone take their medication, preparing a meal, or assisting with light household tasks.
You may also support individuals to attend appointments, go shopping, or access their local community. Alongside practical support, an important part of the role is providing companionship and building positive relationships with the people you support.
Throughout your shift, you will follow care plans, maintain accurate records, and ensure that each person receives safe, respectful, and person-centred care.
At Flourish Homecare, the focus is always on helping people live safely and comfortably in their own homes while promoting independence, dignity, and wellbeing.
