Emma was working in the hospitality sector but did not really feel fulfilled. A neighbour working at Bluebird Care (Mid and West Cornwall) said they were recruiting so Emma applied to do some bank work and is now employed as their Recruitment and Development Coordinator.
Emma’s role is to find the ideal care worker to suit someone’s care and support needs and to ensure that people are therefore able to leave hospital and return to their own homes.
Emma has found that there is so much to learn in care and her employer is passionate about providing training to develop staff to achieve their full potential in the many and varied roles available.
The best and most rewarding thing about Emma’s role is being able to support people to stay in their own homes whether through helping with shopping, providing companionship or personal care. Whatever it is, if Emma can help provide support she considers it a job well done.
