These roles are personally assisting somebody to achieve their goals, gain independence and/or manage their daily lives; These will be self-funded by the family or person, or they may receive a Direct payment from Cornwall council. *
Location: Camborne
We’re looking for a friendly and caring personal assistant (male preferred) to support a young man who’s passionate about computers. He’s looking for someone who is patient, kind, and understanding to help him grow in confidence, both at home and out in the community. Your role will be to provide gentle support as he navigates social situations and gains independence.
Support required:
· Transport to and from his home
· Helping with opening and organising post
· Assisting with scheduling and attending appointments
· Building his confidence and trust within his home
· Gradually encouragement and support to participate in social activities, appointments, and other opportunities outside the home
Rate and support hours:
Hourly rate of pay: £14.72
Hours per week: 20 hours per week
Schedule: To be negotiated at interview stage for successful candidate
Essential criteria:
· A valid driving licence
· Caring, honest, trustworthy nature
· Compassion, patience and understanding
· Business Use Car Insurance – This is free to change for most people if not already held
· Must be self-employed
· Public Liability Insurance
