These roles are personally assisting somebody to achieve their goals, gain independence and/or manage their daily lives; These will be self-funded by the family or person, or they may receive a Direct payment from Cornwall council. *
Location: St Ives
We are looking for a Personal Assistant for a lady in her mid-forties living in St Ives with her mum. She is looking for one or two people to support her to get out and about. She is a passionate animal lover and vegan. In the future she hopes to get an emotional support dog. She also has a strong faith and wants to be supported by someone who respects her values.
She is looking for someone with a great sense of humour, who doesn’t take life too seriously. Ideally, she is looking for someone with an understanding of autism and mental health. She needs someone with a driving licence and access to their own vehicle.
She loves to sign and is part of a community choir which is a huge part of her life. She is a lot of fun and this will be a great job for the right people. She is looking for support for 17.5 hours of support to be used over a week. This lady works as a peer advocate and often works away her support will need to fit flexibly around her life.
Support required:
· Support to access the community
· Understanding of Autism and mental health
· Assisting with paperwork going to appointments
· Support to get out of the house
Rate and support hours:
Hourly rate of pay: £12.00
Hours per week: 17.5 hours per week
Schedule: To be agreed with the client but will need to be flexible
Essential criteria:
· Caring, honest, trustworthy nature
· Eligibility to work in the UK
· Valid DBS Check
· Driving Licence + own vehicle
