In our November Proud to Care Newsletter, we mentioned that Proud to Care Cornwall has been successful in securing funding from Skills for Care to run a Cornwall recruitment campaign linked to the national Every Day is Different Campaign ‘When you care in Cornwall, every day makes a difference’.

Just before Christmas we awarded the contract for filming of our cinema adverts and are now looking for people to take part. We are really keen to ensure that our campaign features people currently working in the sector, in a variety of roles, and also those receiving care. We would be really grateful if you could discuss this opportunity among your staff teams as appropriate and also consider the people you provide care for and whether they would like to be involved.

Filming is due to start in the new year so please contact us at proudtocare@cornwall.gov.uk as soon as possible if you would like to take part.

Unfortunately, we cannot guarantee that everyone who expresses an interest will be given the opportunity. Timescales for the filming are very tight and much will depend on the requirements of the company producing the films and the ability of individuals to meet those requirements. Also, we do want to ensure that the films reflect the variety of roles and settings within the social care sector.

Proud to Care Cornwall Steering Group are very excited to have the opportunity to run this Cornwall campaign to support our social care sector.

The campaign will include a call to action and encourage people watching to visit the Proud to Care Cornwall website to view vacancies.
