It’s time to prove that Cornwall is Proud to Care!

We are urgently calling on everyone who can to step up and apply for a role in Cornwall’s care sector to help us to continue to provide vital care and support to some of the most vulnerable people across Cornwall.

As we face an unprecedented demand for care and support during the ongoing Coronavirus crisis, it is now more important than ever to ensure that no one is left alone and uncared for.

We are asking for expressions of interest from applicants who would be willing to assist in the following areas:

Medical Support and Care: This includes injections and pain management.

Personal Care and Support: This includes providing support to individuals in the morning and evening with getting washed, getting dressed, getting safely to the toilet and monitoring their health, wellbeing and progress.

Practical Care and Support: This includes welfare checks, meal preparation, shopping/prescription collection and cleaning.

Pay rate: £9.30 per hour.

It is not all about qualifications; what is most important are your values and attitudes to working with people who need care and support.

We have a variety of opportunities and appropriate training will be provided for all roles – we will be there to provide you with full support throughout your journey into the care sector.

Individuals – apply

If you feel that you could make a difference to the lives of elderly and vulnerable residents during this unprecedented time, please register your details here.

If you would like to give your support to those locally in a more voluntary capacity, please sign up through Volunteer Cornwall’s expression of interest form.

Providers – request temporary staff

If you are a provider and have requirements for temporary staff as a result of covid-19 please register your requirements here.

Our priority will be to ensure that temporary staff are deployed to those providers with the highest priority of need and resulting impact on services. Please do consider this when you are submitting your workforce requirements.

Further details on how this service operates and details of ‘at cost’ charges can be found here.
