Job Opportunity: Self-Employed Personal Assistant
Please note: This role is a private arrangement with an individual or family seeking support. You will not be employed by Humans Cornwall but will work directly with the individual or their family. The role is funded privately by the family/person or via a Direct Payment from Cornwall Council.
Location: Launceston
A gentleman in the Launceston area is looking for a patient, caring, and supportive Personal Assistant to help him engage in his interests, develop confidence to access the community, and develop life skills. He has multiple hobbies, including reading, art, archery (in which he has reached competition level), and music production.
Responsibilities:
- Supporting community access
- Confidence building
- Assisting with participation in local activity groups
- Helping to develop life skills, such as cooking healthy meals
Rate and Hours:
Hourly Rate: £15.84
Hours per Week: 6 hours
Schedule: Flexible
Essential Criteria:
- Strong communication skills
- Patient, caring, and supportive nature
- Eligibility to work in the UK
- Public Liability Insurance (if self-employed)
- Valid DBS check
- Full UK driving licence and access to a car
