Key Responsibilities:
As Deputy Supervisor, you’ll be at the heart of our operations, ensuring our service users receive the best possible care while supporting staff and keeping our agency compliant with Care Quality Commission (CQC) standards.

Your day-to-day will include:

Creating and managing rotas to ensure staff coverage meets care needs.
Updating care plans and ensuring compliance with Cornwall Council and CQC requirements.
Supporting care staff with queries, training, and on-call support (including occasional weekends).
Leading the transition to a digital care planning system.
Conducting audits (e.g., training, care visits, incident logs) and preparing for inspections.
Handling new care package assessments, collecting essential information for safe onboarding.
Maintaining accurate records for training, compliance, safeguarding, and DBS checks.
Acting as a liaison between families, staff, health professionals, and regulatory bodies.
Promoting high standards of infection control, safety, and dignity in care at all times.
Who We’re Looking For
You’ll be someone who is organised, compassionate and confident working both independently and as part of a team. You’ll need a strong eye for detail and a genuine passion for helping others live safely and happily in their own homes.

Essential:

Minimum 3 years’ administrative experience in healthcare, social care, or a regulated environment.
Experience working in the care sector, ideally with familiarity in compliance and care planning.
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and general IT systems.
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
High levels of organisation and problem-solving ability.
Understanding of confidentiality, GDPR, and safeguarding best practices.
Flexibility to support out-of-hours and weekend on-call duties as part of a rota.
Desirable:

Knowledge of CQC Fundamental Standards and experience preparing for inspections.
Experience using digital care planning systems (or leading the implementation of one).
Previous involvement in staff supervision, training, or appraisals.
