You will not be employed by or carry out work for Humans Cornwall; we have a dedicated team to help identify private personal assistants for care and support. These roles are personally assisting somebody to achieve their goals, gain independence and/or manage their daily lives; These will be self-funded by the family or person, or they may receive a Direct payment from Cornwall council. *
Location: Bodmin
Young man who enjoys walking and swimming seeks a caring personal assistant/carer to support him in his daily life. He has a diagnosis of severe Autism and a Learning disability.
He can also present with ‘challenging behaviour’ – this will be discussed further during any interviews. Successful applicants will be assisted in learning how to support him.
Support required:
· Accessing community
· Meal preparation
· Personal support
Hourly rate of pay: Day: £11.44/ Night: £15.96
Total hours: Full and part-time hours available.
Day: 7am – 11pm (This is variable per each shift; applicants are not expected work all of this).
Night: 11pm – 7am
Essential:
· Must be self-employed
· Current DBS
· Public Liability Insurance
· Driving Licence
