Healthcare Trust Ltd T/A Penbownder House

We are an independent Care Home, situated just outside Launceston.

Penbownder House is a 380 year old Manor house with 10acres of land surrounding it that are carefully looked after by our team of Domestics, Maintenance and Groundsman.

We are composed by a Dementia unit and a Mental Health Open Unit.

Our Dementia unit residents’ ages range between 65 and 103; and Mental Health from 55 to 75.

Our moto is “You work in our residents Home so be respectful and mindful of their wants and needs”

Our care team works on a set schedule every week and they have access to their rota a couple of months in advance. We are flexible so it is always worth asking the question and if we can accommodate your needs we will try.

All staff are supported by our experience Team leaders and Seniors and also the Manager in situ.

We provide training in house and all new Carers go through a period of Shadowing that can range from 2 weeks to 6 weeks, pending on experience and confidence.
