About the role

Working in our friendly team, you’ll enable 3 individuals with a learning disability living in two adjoining bungalows to take part in activities they enjoy in their local community – shopping, swimming, visits to the park, days out and also to take part in daily living skills and make use of their sunny garden. You’ll support individuals in all aspects of daily living; from cooking to managing finances. Supporting people with their personal care, being able to support individuals with their moving and handling needs; pushing a wheelchair, and medication needs is also key.

Building professional relationships with the people we support, you’ll enable them to enjoy a wide range of activities at home and in the community. There’s lots of variety, to find out more about the role visit our main website.

About you

You’re considerate, committed, resilient and respect people’s differences. Empathetic, you adapt your approach to individuals’ needs, have good communication skills and a positive, patient approach. You can build professional relationships and have a ‘can-do’ attitude. All support workers work flexible shifts to provide a 24/7 service to the people we support including evenings and weekends.

You have the option of working additional hours or sleep-ins in a range of services – paid at £60 extra per sleep-in.

Successful applicants for this role will require an enhanced DBS check.
