You will not be employed by or carry out work for Humans Cornwall; we have a dedicated team to help identify private personal assistants for care and support. These roles are personally assisting somebody to achieve their goals, gain independence and/or manage their daily lives; These will be self-funded by the family or person, or they may receive a Direct payment from Cornwall council. *
Location: Camborne
Gentleman who enjoys shopping and sports seeks 1 or 2 approachable and patient personal assistants to support him at home. He has a diagnosis of Quadriplegia (Tetraplegia).
Support required:
· Personal care
· Assistance with moving via hoist
· Showering & dressing
· Assistance to eat
· Accessing community
Hourly rate of pay: £12.75 – Pay award pending
Hours per week: 1 x 40 hours or 2 x 20 hours
Schedule: Up for discussion at the interview stage
Essential:
– Full clean driving license, as gentleman has use of a motobility vehicle
– Ability to adapt to the gentleman’s changing needs, as well as a strong willingness to learn
– Experience in a previous role
