About the role: Reporting into Corserv Care’ Senior People Partner, you will be responsible for the design and delivery of high-quality training for all Corserv Care employees to ensure every employee is confident and competent in their ability to work in a person centred and compassionate manner. You will also support the delivery of the People Plan, with the overall aim of improving the employee journey for Corserv Care’s
People.

Role Purpose: To design, deliver, and evaluate high-quality training programs that ensure our care workers have the knowledge, skills, and confidence to provide exceptional, compassionate care to individuals. The Care Trainer plays a key role in maintaining compliance with health and social care standards and fostering a culture of continuous learning and development.
-Deliver high-quality training aligned with CQC standards, legislation, and good practice.
-Play a key part in ensuring the continued delivery of Good care, to ensure every employee is confident and competent in their ability to work in a person centred and compassionate manner.
-With the Senior People Partner and service Managers design, plan and lead an engaging company induction to include role specific mandatory training.
-As one of the initial points of contact between Corserv Care and new employees, our trainer should demonstrate passion for their role and the Corserv Care mission, vision and values.
-Design, plan and lead refresher training sessions for staff.
-Work with Senior People Partner and People Advisors to deliver ad-hoc training on a variety of HR topics to include Safer Recruitment.
-Coordination and delivery of training against Corserv Cares objectives and training statistics.
-Provide practical, hands-on training across a variety of subjects.
-Develop and maintain the service training matrix to track and manage training compliance.
-Create and update course materials including presentations, e-learning modules, and workbooks.
-Adapt training methods to meet varied learning styles and maximise staff engagement.
-Working in partnership with the People Advisor (L&D) and People Advisor (Resourcing & ER) to plan and publish training calendars.
-Ensure employee training files are up to date.
-Observe workplace practice.
-Maintain regular contact with new employees, coaching and supporting where appropriate.
-Attend external meetings and conferences where required.
-Promote learning and development opportunities that Corserv Care offer.
-Work with Registered Managers to ensure the implementation of individual personal development plans.

What you’ll be doing:

-Design and Deliver Training:Work with the Professional Service Lead, Operational Managers and Managers of Services to determine training requirements.
-Develop and deliver engaging training sessions such as Oliver McGowan, safeguarding, manual handling, medication administration, dementia care, and emergency first aid.
-Tailor training to meet the needs of new and existing staff across various care settings.
-Review and adapt E-Learning content as and when necessary.
-Assessment and Evaluation:
-Assess learners’ understanding and competence through practical and theoretical evaluations.
-Monitor and report on training effectiveness and staff progress.
-Compliance and Record-Keeping:Maintain accurate training records in line with regulatory requirements.
-Ensure all training meets contractual requirements and CQC and Skills for Care standards, and keep up to date with service, local and national policy changes.
-Support and Development:Provide one-on-one coaching and mentoring to employees.
-Support employees working towards qualifications such as NVQ Level 2/3 in Health and Social Care.

Safeguarding: We are committed to safeguarding the welfare of all our service users, clients and customers. This role is subject to a basic DBS check.

Essential Skills:

-Recognised training or teaching qualification (e.g., PTLLS, AET, or equivalent).
-Diploma level 3 in Health & Social Care or experience of working in the social care sector, and a working knowledge of legislative requirements in the care sector.
-Experience in delivering mandatory training.
-Strong communication and presentation skills.
-Knowledge of adult learning principles and training methodologies.
-Empathetic and patient.
-Full UK driving license
-Highly organised and self-motivated.
-Passionate about improving care standards.
-Able to inspire and motivate others.
