Personal Assistant required to support a smiley 8-year-old little girl to provide help with all aspects of needs and learning.

Rate of pay – £13.00 per hour

HOURS

Wednesday 3:30 till 7 pm

Saturday 9:30 till 2:30 pm

MAIN PURPOSE OF THE JOB:

To work with a neurodiverse child providing practical support to meet their personal and social assessed needs. These needs and expectations will be clearly explained by the employer.

MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Under the direction of the parent or carer undertake those tasks as specified in the child or young person’s care plan.

Providing personal care such as assistance with toileting, washing, showering, bathing and dressing.

Promoting social integration through forming ongoing relationships and links with facilities in the community.

Participating in sports and leisure activities with the child or young person.

To promote independence skills through guidance and practical assistance with, for example, travel and personal hygiene.

Undertake driving or escort duties as required.

To be aware of and adhere to applicable rules, regulations, legislation and procedures, for example, health and safety, confidentiality, data protection, working time regulations.

Attend one to one meetings with the employer as required.

To maintain confidentiality of information acquired in the course of undertaking duties for the child or young person and their family.

To be responsible for your own continuing self-development, undertaking training as required.

To undertake any other duties appropriate to the position as required.

Personal Assistant to provide assistance during a variety of activities and personal needs.  We are looking for someone who is kind, reliable and active to accompany her when taking part in chosen activities.

Essential Skills:

Applicants should be willing to take part on an AAC (Alternative, Augmentative Communication) training course and first aid. Training to be arranged and costs met.
The successful applicant will be employed under a private arrangement with the family.
