* This role is a private arrangement with a person or family who is seeking support for someone else or themselves. You will not be employed by or carry out work for Humans Cornwall; we have a dedicated team to help identify private personal assistants for care and support. These roles are personally assisting somebody to achieve their goals, gain independence and/or manage their daily lives; These will be self-funded by the family or person, or they may receive a Direct payment from Cornwall council. *
Location: Mousehole
Gentleman who wants to get out, explore & be connected to the community, seeks a patient & positive personal assistant to help him remain as independent as possible. He has a diagnosis of dysphagia and reduced mobility, which means he needs some guidance with getting around, as well as recovering from a stroke.
Support required:
– Accessing community
– Meal preparation
Hourly rate of pay: £20.00
Hours per week: 19.5 hours available: There is flexibility with which hours you’d like; to be discussed with the family during the interview stage
Working schedule
Monday: 1pm – 4pm
Thursday: 9am-12pm
Friday: 9am-12pm; 1pm-4pm; 6pm-6:45pm
Saturday: 1pm-4pm; 6pm–6:45pm
Sunday: 1pm-4pm
Essential:
– Full driving licence
– Good communication & language skills
– Someone who will allow him the space to stay independent & take time to build a trusting relationship
