You will not be employed by or carry out work for Humans Cornwall; we have a dedicated team to help identify private personal assistants for care and support. These roles are personally assisting somebody to achieve their goals, gain independence and/or manage their daily lives; These will be self-funded by the family or person, or they may receive a Direct payment from Cornwall council. *
Location: Penzance
Easy-going young adult, who loves rugby, cricket and has a great sense of humour is seeking a reliable, kind and experienced self-employed P.A. to support him.
Applicants must be physically fit and enjoy participating in sporting activities and be able to support him in accessing the local community to build on his independence and awareness.
The young person has a diagnosis of Autism spectrum disorder.
Support required:
· Attending sporting activities/events (joining in)
· Accessing local community
· Shopping/eating out and assistance with managing money
· Building on the young person’s understanding of the wider world
Hourly rate of pay: £19 – no additional travel expenses paid
Hours per week: 5 – 10 hrs to be agreed; days/times may vary.
Essential:
– Full clean drivers’ licence; own car & appropriate insurance.
– Must be physically fit and enjoy participating in sporting activities
– Valid DBS
– Public Liability Insurance
– Must be self-employed
Desirable:
– Previous experience supporting young people with ASD & Learning Difficulties.
