You will not be employed by or carry out work for Humans Cornwall; we have a dedicated team to help identify private personal assistants for care and support. These roles are personally assisting somebody to achieve their goals, gain independence and/or manage their daily lives; These will be self-funded by the family or person, or they may receive a Direct payment from Cornwall council. *
Location: Polruan, Fowey
Gentleman who loves books and chatting seeks a patient personal assistant to support with his morning routine as well as provide companionship and encouragement for some afternoons. He has Meniere’s syndrome that can cause dizziness and ear sensitivity.
Support required:
· Getting up and dressed in the mornings
· Access to community
· Companionship
· Encourage to do activities such as walking
Hourly rate of pay: £20
Hours per week: 7 hours – 14 hours
Working schedule:
1 hour each morning and 1 hour during some afternoons
Essential:
· Driving licence
· Valid DBS
· Public Liability Insurance
· Must be self-employed
· Someone who is patient and softly spoken due to his Meniere’s syndrome
· Someone who is talkative and shares similar interests in reading
· Confident walking with him as he has a frame
