These roles are personally assisting somebody to achieve their goals, gain independence and/or manage their daily lives; These will be self-funded by the family or person, or they may receive a Direct payment from Cornwall council. *
Location: Hayle, Cornwall
Lady who loves music and films seeks a couple of personal assistants to join her small team to support her with her daily life. She is a wheelchair user.
Support required:
Assistance to perform all aspects of daily life: cooking, eating & drinking, reading, writing, going out, following her directions in all things. Personal care assistance needed. No previous experience required as in-house training will be given.
Hourly rate of pay: £14 per hour, £73 for sleep-ins
Hours per week: 15 – 25+
Working schedule: Shift work
09.00am – 18.00pm
18.00pm – 00.00am
22.30pm – 09.00am
Sleep-in – 00.00am – 07.00am
Day shifts available on Fridays & Saturdays; evening shifts on Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays, Fridays, Saturdays, Sundays; and night shifts (sleep-in) available every night.
These available shifts would ideally be spread across 2 or 3 new recruits to the team, depending on applicants own situations, flexibility and availability. Some scope for existing team workers to change their current days to accommodate.
Essential:
· Valid DBS
· Person-centred approach
· Driving licence
· Client is a smoker, so applicants must be comfortable with this
Desirable:
· Basic digital skills
· Conversational skills
· Broad interests
