* This role is a private arrangement with a person or family who is seeking support for someone else or themselves. You will not be employed by or carry out work for Humans Cornwall; we have a dedicated team to help identify private personal assistants for care and support. These roles are personally assisting somebody to achieve their goals, gain independence and/or manage their daily lives. These will be self-funded by the family or person, or they may receive a Direct payment from Cornwall council. *

Lady who enjoys beach walks with her dog and swimming seeks an open-minded and calm, self-employed personal assistant to support her to manage her daily life. She has a diagnosis Functional neurological disorder, Non-epileptic seizures, Cardiac concerns, Intermittent speech loss and Rheumatic disease.
Support required:
Accessing community i.e., going to the gym, dog-walking or swimming
Domestic support
Support with seizure activity
Monday and Wednesday: Complete school runs to Truro as well as another day; to be negotiated
Understanding her medical conditions thoroughly in order to support her through any of these events
Hourly rate of pay: £13.54 (Council contribution)
Total hours: 20hrs per week; Days/ times to be mutually agreed.
Essential:
– Full driving licence
– Some experience or understanding of seizure activity
