You will not be employed by or carry out work for Humans Cornwall; we have a dedicated team to help identify private personal assistants for care and support. These roles are personally assisting somebody to achieve their goals, gain independence and/or manage their daily lives; These will be self-funded by the family or person, or they may receive a Direct payment from Cornwall council. *
Location: St. Austell
Social 87-year-old who used to love reading seeks an outgoing personal assistant to support her with domestics and getting out in the community. She would like to ensure she is socialising more to help support her feel less isolated.
Support required:
· Cleaning – thorough cleans of kitchen, bathroom, etc
· Domestics – laundry, dishes, etc
· Accessing community i.e. going to cafes
· Emotional support
Hourly rate of pay: £15.00
Hours per week: 4 – 6 hours
Working schedule: Wednesdays & Fridays: Start times are flexible & negotiable
Essential:
· Full driving licence
· Valid DBS
· Public Liability Insurance
· Business Use Car Insurance
· Must be self-employed
· Client is a smoker, so someone who can tolerate this within the house
· Someone who is a good listener
